Dogs Days of summer are when Sirius and the sun occupy the same region of the sky, usually happening between July 3rd and August 11th

After the dog days of summer come the early plants and animals of the fall, signifying the end of summer and the early beginnings of autumn. Summer and autumn plants and animals seen in the print can be found in Northern Michigan, such as the cicadas, sandhill cranes, sunflowers, asters, and jewelweed.

Dimensions measure 18in by 12in and is printed in a lavender to purple gradient on Japanese printmaking paper
